Mounting and balancing a set of four tires typically takes between an hour to an hour and a half, depending on the vehicle. However, if the tires are already mounted and balanced, simply installing tires can be as quick as 20 minutes!

Removing the old tire can be  equally tricky and potentially dangerous. Balancing a tire is also difficult to do without the correct tools, and on modern vehicles, proper lug nut torque is crucial to the safety of your car.

Yes! The team at Mavis will mount tires that you already have, including those purchased elsewhere or ones that you may have stored for seasonal use. Before installation, we'll check them to ensure they are the correct size for your vehicle and confirm there are no leaks or weather cracks that may affect your vehicle's performance.

A tire stored out of the elements will last longer than one stored in the elements. Vehicles with spare tires tend to have them mounted in different places, from in the trunk to under a truck bed. Finding enough space to keep your spare tire inside the car is the best way to store a spare tire.

In some ways, there is no difference because a donut tire is considered a spare tire. 

However, a donut tire is intended to only be a temporary spare tire, with a decreased top speed recommendation (usually indicated on the rim or sidewall), and is not designed to replace a regular or full-size spare tire permanently.

A true spare tire would be a complete wheel and tire identical to the other four tires already on your wheels.
